Issued by the National Bank of Ukraine on 20 May 2026, this 2 UAH commemorative coin marks the 100th Anniversary of the Remembrance Day for Symon Petliura – one of the leading figures of the Ukrainian People's Republic and Ukraine's struggle for independence in the early twentieth century.

As Chairman of the Directorate of the Ukrainian People's Republic and Supreme Otaman of the UPR Forces, Symon Petliura became a symbol of Ukrainian statehood. The coin's design brings together his portrait with military and national symbols closely associated with the UPR, including the trident-shaped sleeve patch introduced for the UPR Army in 1919.
