Aleksandra Ekster" 10 Hryvnia silver coin opens a new numismatic series dedicated to the artists who shaped the Ukrainian avant-garde and influenced the development of modern art in the twentieth century.

The issue focuses on Aleksandra Ekster, a Ukrainian Cubo-Futurist artist, educator, stage designer, and one of the figures associated with the emergence of the Art Deco style. Her work bridged painting, theatre, design, and architecture, placing Ukrainian artistic experimentation within the broader context of European modernism.

The obverse features a theatrical costume sketch for a Spanish dance, one of the creative directions most closely associated with Ekster's work. Selective colour elements highlight the dynamic geometry and movement characteristic of her artistic language. The reverse presents a stylized fragment of a theatrical stage set, referencing her scenographic projects, which became known for their innovative treatment of space, structure, and visual rhythm.

Struck in .999 fine silver and issued in Special Uncirculated quality, the coin is presented in an official booklet. With an actual mintage of only 5,000 pieces, it ranks among the lowest-mintage Ukrainian collector coins of 2026 and marks the beginning of a new series dedicated to the Ukrainian avant-garde movement.
