A commemorative 50-hryvnia banknote of 2019 signed by the National Bank of Ukraine's Chairman has been circulated for the 30th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. The commemorative banknote contains all the elements of protection of the banknote of 50 hryvnias of the 2019 model with additional application on the front, in place of the watermark, screen printing with OVMI ink identity - "30 years of Independence of Ukraine"; the size of the banknote is 72 x 136 mm.

The main image on the front side is a portrait of Mykhailo Hrushevsky.

The main image of the reverse side is the building of the Ukrainian Central Rada.
