The virgin of the inexhaustible chalice is often worshiped as miraculous mother of God, in particular, when a family member has fallen into misfortune. Parents pray before this image asking that their children be protected from the traps of contemporary life.

The coin takes up a classic representation of the Virgin of the inexhaustible chalice, as is common on Byzantine icons. Both the virgin and baby Jesus in the chalice are shown with their arms spread.
