The Spirit of Christmas is a Ukrainian silver commemorative coin issued in 2025, dedicated to traditional Christmas customs that reflect national identity, spiritual continuity, and cultural heritage.

The obverse features a stylised didukh, a ceremonial wheat sheaf associated with Christmas Eve (Sviatyi Vechir), enhanced with selective gilding. A straw angel at the base symbolises protection and the Good News, while a diamond-shaped star represents the Star of Bethlehem. Design elements also include the legend “UKRAINE”, the issue year 2025, the Small State Coat of Arms of Ukraine, and the face value of 10 hryvnias.

The reverse depicts a traditional Ukrainian Christmas Eve family meal with twelve ritual dishes. Family figures are symbolically associated with celestial bodies (the Sun, Moon, and stars) highlighted with selective gilding. The composition reflects warmth, continuity, and the preservation of generational traditions.

Struck in 31.1 grams of silver and finished in special uncirculated quality, this coin has a planned mintage of 15,000 pieces, with 7,500 struck to date. Its strong thematic relevance, recognisable cultural symbolism, and limited availability make it well-suited for wholesale distribution to coin dealers, cultural retailers, and international collectors specialising in modern Ukrainian issues.
